  • A beautiful app with consistently unfortunate problems

    By Jacob Delifresh
This is by far the best Topps trading card app. The simplistic and charming UI is much superior to the crowded and eyesore UI that is NFL Huddle and previously Star Wars. News cards are released daily and will usually be cards you want to get. The app does a good job of diversifying they’re releases to appease the many different fans, such as X-Men, MCU, and the many teams and characters of the Marvel Universe. Trading is an enjoyable experience and it’s easy to find users who will do great win-win trades. Users can easily find the cards they need to complete their sets with the “Cards I Need” filter. Packs are for the most part reasonably priced for the F2P community and pack odds are acceptable. As of late there has been a significant increase in Pack price/per odd however, making it harder to collect cards without spending real world money in the app. Where the app suffers is the communication with the user base by the developers. The app has recently undergone an update to its Fusion System that was meet with very harsh criticism, with seemly 95% of players disliking the change. Weeks have passed and Topps has remained silent on the subject. The app as of late has seen many annoying bugs that hurt the player base significantly, such as Awards being completely broken and having to be delayed for weeks. If the communication between the developer and the player base is improved the app would likely see a much brighter future. In short, Marvel Collect by Topps will give you an enjoyable card collecting experience, but not without a few consistent annoyances along the way.
  • New fusion system is HORRIFIC!!!

    By Samjsan
“Let’s update something that works perfectly and everyone likes, and turn it into an unlikeable monstrosity which is very difficult to work with!”, says the development team at Topps... The game itself is fun, lots of interesting content and it’s easy enough to succeed without spending cash if you don’t want; though like many apps the cooler content is easier to get if you do.. But changing for the sake of change isn’t a good business model (see New Coke..), and when forums are FILLED with users screaming dislike for newly updated interfaces... it could be harmful to the app. I’ll keep my eyes out for improvements, but in the interim my wallet is closed.
  • Bad management

    By Albertss
Started this app week 1. It was amazing compared to any other card trader app tops had. As time goes by it’s apparent they are hiring idiots in management. Newest fusion update is just an example. Took something that worked extremely well and updated it to a dumpster fire.
  • Careful spending money on app

*Update. After submitting a second ticket topps support got the missing card back with bonus diamonds. Though frustrating took two tickets to get card back, I think topps fairly resolved the issue. I had bought a $25 reserve box. The special card if comes with went missing from my account. Attempted to resolve with topps support but they just said they confirmed I never had the card even though I purchased the box. Done with app since cannot trust that money spent on game will not just go missing.

This app is so full of careless typos and with SO MANY ISSUES, I imagine the code for this app includes them as well. For example: stating that spending irl money on a special bundle would reward 500 points, but on another area of the app stating only 50 points would be received. I’ve spent money on this game and enjoyed it, but the late awards, features not working correctly, constant issues - the app needs serious attention or it will die sooner than later (I’ve already noticed a tremendous drop in the community). If this game gets the care and smoothness like the Topps Disney app, I’ll gladly change my rating - but as of now, this is my honest review.
  • Frustrating

    By Angry / Upset
Would gladly give the app 4 or 5 stars, if it worked. Can’t spin the card wheel. When I do it tells me to verify my e mail so I verify go to spin the wheel and it tells me the same crap. Multiple times I might add. Can’t change anything in my profile. Get the same verify e mail crap. Can’t even purchase gems! Same verify e mail garbage. Really!? Does this company not want to make money? Disappointing to say the least.
  • Update

    By Trump1980
I like this trading card app wish that the other topps trading card apps worked just like this one this is the easiest to navigate Update: Well been using this app for awhile and still like it but almost ready to give it up trying to get roll call card and it says 1 in 5 I have open about 15 packs and not one roll call card has been seen what’s up with that topps
  • Love the game, the app is constantly broken

    By Rreyes1977
Issues happen several times a week... packs disappear, unscheduled downtime to try and fix the issues, no awards given on time, can’t see the cards you’re buying. Ok if you only use free coins, careful if you try to use real money
  • Cool Idea, Very Poor Business Model and Poorer Management

Horrible waste of time and money.
  • A lot of fun!

This game is a lot of fun I just wish you could sell cards if you wanted to. I really like this game! You can buy them but you can’t sell them.
