  • Works with some effort

    The programming is great, but would be nice if they made news/entertainment available a little quicker. The main issues with the TVOS app are at startup when it will either, indicate login has failed, play your show under a modal screen or just crash to the main Apple TV menu. Retrying it one or more times will eventually clear the issue and it will work, but it requires your patience and persistence to get it to work. Sloppy product.

    I’ve been a subscriber to BritBox for probably a year now and watched every episode of coronation street (up to 6 episodes per week). Then all of a sudden there was two episodes missing from the end of July. I contacted their customer support and they started babbling on about not being able to secure the rights to shows. Are they kidding me? They don’t have the rights for those two episodes yet they have the rights for every other episode? They’ve even posted the three episodes that aired since the missing episodes. Obviously their customer service doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Like a lot of expats the only reason I signed up with BritBox was to get my soap operas, and I’m not going to continue paying if I can’t follow the story because there’s episodes missing!

    This app is a malfunctioning piece of crap. Anyone who would have put this one the market is either without morals or incredibly uninformed. Please do not buy this app or use this service until the laggards who write and distributed it actually take some respect for their work and write a functioning piece of software.

    The programming is great but the app (I have Apple TV) is very buggy. About 70% of the time when I open it I have to click on “Retry” to open the app. On a regular basis when I try to watch something the screen is a complete blur, and I just have to try it again the next day. Even when the app is working properly the navigation is not intuitive.

  • Couldn’t log in and couldn’t find help

    After watching a few episodes, the app wanted me to log in. It says my email address doesn’t exist. I tried “forgot my password”. Says my email doesn’t exist. Today I cancelled my free trial. This could be due to user error, but I don’t see a place to reach out for support.

    I’m trying to cancel my subscription. I can’t seem to do it online at their website. I can’t do it via the app where I purchased it. Everything I go to keeps redirecting me on this wild goose chase of you have to go here now here oops dead end. The shows are okay. But after this I don’t care what they have on I would never subscribe again.

    Cannot watch an episode without it crashing. Have to reset iPad multiple times to finish a show. Sometimes have to delete app and reinstall. Very poor design. Needs complete revision.

    Why would I pay for this subscription if the devices I use constantly crash the app. iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Apple TV.... such a shame. Awesome shows but they aren’t accessible. Get it together Apple!
  • Closed captioning

    Worst app ever used for closed captioning. No CC default, so must set for each episode - can't even set for entire series. Also, if you go back to resume an episode that you already set for CC it's no longer available. Great shows but too much work
