  • Good concept, but not helpful

All this app does is tell you when to water and when to fertilize. Doesn’t diagnose at all. It’s a pointless app.

Y’all... I was so clueless about plants and how best to keep them alive. I used to buy plants and within days they’d be dead, even after I googled best practices. I can be very forgetful. Planta has been so helpful. I now have six (SIX!!!) beautiful and lush plants on my balcony. I’m so grateful!
  • Needs some work

Great concept but needs some work. I’m noticing that the watering schedules need work as well as the recommended light for some plants (i’m noticing that this is way off for most plants). A feature that would help diagnose problems with plants would be a great add in the future.
  • Garbage app, don’t buy, use free version

I am really disappointed in this app. It is such a great idea and I liked the free version so I thought I would get a lot of benefits with the paid subscription. It is a waste of money, the light meter isn’t accurate, there isn’t a help section if one of your plants is having a problem, there isn’t away to indicate you watered previously (or did a different task) and so your whole schedule is thrown off. I do not recommend it.

Great app to keep track of all your plants. I love that you can add pictures of your actual plants-makes it easy to ask someone else to take care of your plant babies when you’re out of town!

I’m not new to house plants and office plants, but I’ve diversified my family of plants and added plants outdoors. This app gives so much more detail than those plant tags from the store. I learned why one of my outdoor plants died and the others were struggling. I also learned why a few of my new indoor plants were thriving or stagnant. I do wish they’ll add more varieties, as I love a good rare plant from the local nursery. I’m happy and may consider upgrading the app to premium.

I really love this app. It is SO helpful to keep me on a schedule, and the new update with the kind of pot is really great. The only down side, as someone else mentioned, is that it doesn’t do a good job taking into account your weather. I can’t use this for outside plants. If you know your plants well enough, you can certainly put in your own schedule, but this is my first year doing a food garden, and I would have liked more accurate watering advice for these plants. Regardless- ABSOLUTELY recommend!!
  • Does not work

This app can not identify the simplest of plants. Tried another one that works so much better. This app stinks and they completely ignore support messages submitted through the app asking for refunds. STAY AWAY
  • Good, with some issues

So far enjoying the paid version of the app. But there are some glitchy things. I have one plant that keeps showing up every day saying I need to water it and no matter what I do, I can’t get the notification to go away, and I can’t even delete the plant. I added a new one but the old one still continually shows up creating problems. Also, some things are clunky - if I leave the app and come back, it always brings me back to the homepage and leaves the spot I was on. It’s also a lengthy process to log things you’ve done in the past, as you have to tap on many things to get there.
