I use this app on my iPhone and iPad and have had zero problems. This is a great app.

This is one of the worst video apps I have used. I will be watching a show and for no reason it just stops working and buffers. Not for a little time for for 10 plus minutes. For no apparent reason. If it were not for one show I would not bother with it at all. Piece of crap

This app is friggin' worthless. Basically they don't support Apple TV so don't bother to download it. If you want to watch Acorn, watch it on a Roku. And clearly they have the worst programmers on the planet because if you set up an Acorn account on a Roku, the Apple TV app doesn't know your account with Acorn exists. I guess they never considered that anyone might have more than one brand of streaming device in their home. Really poor programming on the part of Acorn.

I have loved acorn tv for several years now. However, now I am unable to watch due to “unable to load”. Tried help suggestion but no joy. Regrettably cancelled.
  • Worst customer service ever

After months of happy viewing, something went wrong. I began to get double billed for my subscription, billed by my subscription through iTunes, and then billed directly by acorn. I never signed up directly with acorn, only with iTunes. So I canceled my subscription with acorn, considering that I already had in place an iTunes subscription. Well this is when the horror started. The app indicates that my subscription is canceled, but my iTunes subscription is active. I have been struggling with this for months and I cannot get a straight answer out of their customer service desk. They simply refuse to understand what I am talking about. There is no way to include screenshots when trying to send them messages. And yes there is no restore a purchase link on the home screen. I personally don’t think you can pay for your subscription through iTunes. I think you can download the app from the iTunes Store, but you have to pay acorn directly. The iTunes subscription does not work with this app. I talked to Apple at length about this problem and they are as mystified as I am. It almost seems like there is a scam or some sort of bait and switch problem. There is no Acorn customer service phone number, impossible to speak to a live person, and you will never ever make any sense out of whatever robot you interact with at the help desk.

This app is terrible. It doesn’t indicate the shows you’ve already watched, and you can’t determine the length of a show until you start it. And the functionality in settings don’t work. If you want Acorn set up through Amazon Prime.

It now won’t put my shows last watched in “recently watched” . So now I have to find the episode AND it’s not giving me a “continue watching” option anymore so I have to find where I left off in the episode.

I wish you would get more updated programs. Sometimes it’s a long time between episodes. I beng watch. I do enjoy Acorn.tv.
  • Red Bar progress not working.

Recently, the Red Bar indicating episode progress and allowing you resume watching an episode at the last position watched has stopped working. This is really annoying, since you now have to keep track of which episodes you’ve watched and the last position watched if you didn’t complete an episode. We’ve really enjoyed the Acorn programming, but if this isn’t fixed, we will drop our subscription.
