  • App stops working

    By balck screen 1
When I’m watching a program and I pause for a minute and come back to the App the screen is all black! So I can’t do anything!
  • Love this app, but...

    By Ughwhatthe
I have been using this app for a while now, and recently it has (on both my iPhone and iPad) started going black during the episodes. It doesn’t disturb the show, but I have to shut down the iPhone or iPad and restart it to get back the app so I can start another episode. It’s almost as if it times out.
  • Doesn’t work

    By :)shanny(:
I have had Acorn TV for almost 1 yr, and I love the shows but lately it is not working . The shows stop and start and then just fail I am about to give up. You need to fix this. My Netflix works perfectly so it’s not me.
  • Freezes with casting. Ugh.

    By Rostorama
When pausing the program in the middle, it crashes on iOS and the phone screen goes black with no way to recover. Have to reboot the phone. A real drawback and frustrating.
  • App is poor

    By sucksat1star
Every time I cast an episode from Murdock Mysteries on to my tv loses connection and I have to reload the app it is ridiculous!!!
  • Developers apparently don’t believe in Beta Testing

    By lactobug
    1) if stream with my iPhone then stop casting then go to another tv and start casting on my iPad, it does not recognized that I watched part of the episode. 2) It frequently buffers yet Netflix and Amazon Prime do not. 3) if you pause play, the the iPad goes to sleep, you get a black screen with the Apple info in top. You have to swipe the app closed and relaunch. 4) It does not automatically take to the next episode. 5) I do not want to take the time to email you. If you did proper Beta Testing you would have discovered these.
  • Please remove the distracting home bar

    By nevina
I like the choice of content from Acorn Tv. There’s a great mix of british and beyond programming. A good selection of ( old) Vintage and new shows and fantastic originals, like Loch Ness. The app works well for me so far except for the very distracting and bright gone bar light at the bottom of the screen. I know it’s possible to remove it because every other streaming video service makes it fade away in a few seconds and Apple told me “ it’s the developers choice” to keep it constantly on screen. It’s like having a Starwars light saber in my line of vision. I’d be sorry if I had to cancel my subscription over it. Please remove in an update soon.
  • Doesn’t really work reliably

    By Pikesfalls
Yikes! This app looks like it works but is quite unreliable dumping the viewer out after a couple of minutes and then it won’t move forward. FYI: The Roku version works as advertised.
  • Limited content in Australia

    By Anhdru
If you are an Austraian-based user, beware: only a limited number of seasons, all of them old, are available for such favourite shows as Midsommer Murders, Murdoch Mysteries, etc. Seasons 1-6 of Midsommer, seasons 1-5 of Murdoch, seasons 1-2 of Brokenwood. You get the idea. It’s a lot of money for very little over here. Where are the more recent seasons available in Australia? No idea.
  • Content good, app bad

    By pdxkiddo
Really love that since the last update there is a big grayed bar across the top of the screen cutting off the image. I now watch from a webrowser on my phone instead of this app.
